New parents are often surprised by the sleep deprivation that can occur after the birth of a baby.
Babies need around the clock care and over time, that's very draining on new parents. When a person is sleep deprived, they can become frustrated and anxious. If a mom is tired, frustrated, and anxious it can lead to decreased breastfeeding, decreased early bonding between mother & baby, and an increased risk of postpartum depression. Having overnight newborn care will give mom the rest she needs to help alleviate these issues. In addition, having mom well-rested makes for a happier family!
Overnight newborn care can be used for both exclusively breastfed and bottle fed babies. It is my most popular postpartum service!
It may include but is not limited to:
Implementing healthy sleep habits and tending to your baby’s needs, feeding (If breastfeeding, bringing baby to you for feedings), changing, burping, soothing, and taking care of baby-related chores.
